One United Properties, the Bucharest-listed Romanian residential and mixed-use developer, has appointed Cătălin Jalobă as its next group chief financial officer. The company’s board approved the appointment on 16 October 2026, according to a current report filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Jalobă is scheduled to take up the position on 17 December, succeeding Cosmin Samoilă.
The change is a leadership appointment, not an announcement of a new property development, capital raise or loan facility. That distinction matters because a finance director’s background may be relevant to how investors assess a developer, but it does not establish future funding conditions or project delivery dates.
The company says Jalobă has more than 20 years of experience in property finance, investment and valuation. Since 2017 he has led real-estate finance at Banca Comercială Română, part of Erste Group. In that role he worked on financing transactions with an aggregate value above €2.3 billion, including syndicated loans. Earlier positions included valuation and advisory work at JLL.
His new responsibilities will cover financing and treasury, financial planning, reporting, taxation, cost control and investor relations. One United says the departing CFO will pursue other projects. The company has not disclosed any new financing transaction or revised earnings guidance in the appointment announcement.
For purchasers and investors, the practical follow-up is to watch the company’s subsequent exchange disclosures: debt maturity schedules, borrowing costs, project-level funding and delivery updates. A senior hire can be relevant to governance, but the quality of individual properties still depends on permits, contracts, construction progress and the developer’s financial reporting.
