The construction sector is the most optimistic part of Georgia’s latest business investment survey. In the third-quarter 2026 BAG Index, 77% of responding construction companies said they expected to increase total investment this year compared with 2025. Across all surveyed member businesses, 68% expected growth, 27% no change and 4% a decline. The reported shares are rounded.
The survey was conducted from 1 to 16 September among managers of Business Association of Georgia member companies and their affiliates. It was prepared with the PMC Research Center and the German ifo Institute. Construction optimism rose 17 percentage points compared with the first-quarter survey. Services stood at 68%, trade at 66% and industry at 63%.
These are intentions, not verified capital expenditure or forecasts for apartment prices. A construction company may plan to invest in equipment, buildings or operations without immediately adding saleable homes. Buyers should therefore compare project-level permits, financing, completion history and delivery schedules rather than treating the survey as proof of stronger housing demand.
For comparisons of individual Georgian new-build projects, see the HomeRadar project catalogue. Its project profiles are separate from the BAG business survey.
