A new hospitality project opened on 16 October 2026 in Sanavardo, a village in Georgia’s Kvareli Municipality. The five-star Askaneli Resort was presented as a wine-country destination offering accommodation, a spa, Georgian gastronomy and spaces inspired by Kakheti’s local traditions. The opening was attended by Georgia’s prime minister.
At the ceremony, the prime minister put investment in the hotel at GEL 35 million and said GEL 10 million of the total had been financed through state support under the Produce in Georgia programme. He referred separately to GEL 70 million invested in winery and vineyard development. Those are different investment categories and should not be added to imply that the hotel itself cost GEL 105 million.
The government’s account describes cooperation with the Wyndham hospitality brand. Announced plans for later development include conference and concert facilities as well as residential villas. These additions are not reported as finished or available for sale, and no villa prices, ownership structure or completion dates have been independently established. Reports also differ on the hotel’s number of rooms; that unverified count is not used here.
The opening expands the accommodation offer in a region known for wine tourism, but it does not demonstrate a particular investment return. Buyers considering any future residential product should check planning permits, land titles, operator agreements, service fees and delivery commitments separately. A contextual guide by homeradar.ge explains how Georgian real-estate project data are collected and which comparisons remain estimates rather than confirmed facts.
